What you can do from Closr chat (and what you still click for)
Closr's landing page is Chat. Not a dashboard, not a form. You open a new conversation, say what's happening, and 184 tools stand behind it, ready to search your contacts, update your pipeline, draft an email, run a CMA, or book a showing. That's the whole idea: the work happens as a side effect of a conversation, not a trip through six screens.
Most CRMs put chat on top, as one more feature next to the contact list and the pipeline board. Closr flips that. Chat is the primary surface, and the sidebar, the pipeline kanban, the settings pages, all exist for the handful of things a conversation genuinely isn't the right shape for. If you're used to clicking through tabs to log a note or update a stage, the biggest adjustment is simply saying it instead.
This post is a working list, not a marketing pitch. Every example below maps to a real tool in the product, not a guess at what chat "should" be able to do. Where chat needs your sign-off before it acts, we say so. Where it hands you off to an editor instead of finishing the job in the chat window, we say that too. If you want the audit trail, every example carries the tool name in a hidden comment in this page's source.
Say it like this
Leads and follow-ups
- "Claim that Zillow lead for me"
- "Put Jordan in the nurture pond"
- "What needs my attention today?"
- "Who should I call this morning?"
- "Archive all my leads sitting in New Lead"
Contacts
- "Add a contact for Doug Park, he wants to sell his condo at 55 Ontario"
- "Tag Sarah as a buyer"
- "Merge these two, they're the same person"
- "Link Sue Smith as Bob Smith's spouse"
- "Show me contacts I haven't talked to in two weeks"
Pipeline and deals
- "Mark 4th Concession as a seller"
- "Julia's deal is won"
- "How's my pipeline?"
- "Create the deal record for the Hendersons"
- "Which of my listings are about to expire?"
Email and inbox
- "What's actionable in my inbox?"
- "Find the emails about the Henderson offer"
- "Connect my Gmail"
Calls, texts, and showings
- "Call Sarah"
- "Text John I'm running ten minutes late"
- "What's on for Saturday's showings?"
- "Start an open house for 123 Main St at 2pm"
CMA and listings
- "What's 142 Eastern worth?"
- "Compare these two buildings on price per square foot"
- "Send the CMA to the client"
- "Create a listing page for 55 Ontario"
Campaigns and workflows
- "What campaigns should I run?"
- "Enroll everyone tagged Past Client in the re-engagement drip"
- "Start my seller workflow for this deal"
Reports
- "What's my conversion rate this year?"
- "Which lead source actually closes?"
That list runs both directions. Ask a question and chat reads your data back to you. Give it an instruction and, if the change is small and reversible, it just makes the change and shows you what happened. You don't need the exact verb. "Put Jordan in the nurture pond" and "move Jordan to the nurture pond" land on the same tool, because chat is matching your intent, not a command syntax.
Chat will ask you to confirm first
Some actions are bulk, outbound, or hard to walk back. For those, chat drafts the exact thing it's about to do, shows it to you as a card, and waits for a click. Nothing runs on a misheard sentence or a typo.
That list includes deleting contacts, merging two contacts, tagging a large group at once, sending a CMA to a client, sending or activating a bulk email blast, importing a CSV of contacts, moving a batch of leads into a pond, unenrolling someone from a campaign, and messaging a deal participant like a lawyer or inspector.
Why the line sits where it does: a single note or a single tag change is easy to fix if it's wrong. A blast to 400 contacts, or a delete, is not. So anything that touches many records, or leaves your inbox, gets a receipt first. If you decide not to go through with it, you cancel it right there and nothing is written.
What you still click for
A few things in Closr have more than one piece of content to review at once, a subject line and a body, a comp table and a valuation narrative, a headline and property details. For those, chat starts the work and hands you a prefilled screen instead of trying to walk you through every field in the chat window.
- A custom campaign. Ask chat to build a nurture sequence and it drafts every step as a DRAFT, then hands you a "Review and activate" link to the campaign page. Nothing sends and nobody is enrolled until you review it there.
- A CMA report. Run a CMA in chat and you get a link to an editable workspace with the comp table and valuation band, where you keep refining it before you send anything.
- A listing page. Chat collects the address, price, and details, writes a headline and description from what you tell it, and creates a draft. Photos and publishing happen in the editor.
- A signing document. Chat pulls the right deal PDF and creates the draft, but placing signature fields and sending happens in the editor at
/app/esign. - CSV imports. Drop a file in chat and it parses the columns, auto-maps them, and shows you a preview with the duplicate count before anything is written.
Settings, billing, security, and your CSV field mapping also live outside chat, on their own pages. Chat can take you there ("open billing," "open security") but it doesn't try to be a settings form.
Best practices
Start the day in Chat. The cards at the top show what needs you this morning: overdue follow-ups, new leads, deals closing soon, birthdays. Two minutes before coffee and nothing slips.
Name people the way they're saved. Chat resolves names against your contact list. "Sarah" works if you have one Sarah; if you have three, chat will ask which one.
One intent per message. "Tag Sarah as a buyer and text her about Saturday" works, but a single clear ask resolves faster and is easier to check before you confirm it.
Cancel before you confirm, not after. A held card is not committed yet. If it's wrong, cancel it on the card itself rather than confirming and cleaning up afterward.
Use voice on mobile. The mic runs the same tools as typing. Leave a showing, tap the mic, say what happened, and the note, the contact update, and the follow-up task all land before you're back in the car.
Ask chat "how do I…" Chat is also the help desk. It answers from the real in-app guides, not a guess, so "how do I import from Follow Up Boss" gets you the actual steps.
Use the Report button for anything wrong. If chat can't do what you asked, or does something wrong, the Report button sends it straight to the team. That's the whole support line.

Questions people ask
- Does chat ever send an email or text without me approving it?
- No. Every send, bulk change, or delete raises a receipt showing exactly what will happen. Nothing runs until you click confirm.
- Can I write a campaign or a CMA report entirely in chat?
- You start it in chat. Campaigns, CMA reports, listing pages, and signing documents have more than one piece of content, so chat hands you a prefilled editor to finish and approve.
- What happens if chat can't do something I ask for?
- It tells you plainly and logs the gap so the team sees it. It does not tell you to contact support, because there is no separate support line, chat is it.
- Is voice the same as typing in chat?
- Yes. Voice mode runs the same tools as typed chat. Anything you can type, you can say.
- How many things can chat actually do?
- 184 tools, covering leads, contacts, pipeline, email, calls, texts, showings, CMAs, listings, campaigns, and reports.
Closr is a CRM you run by talking to it. Nothing to learn, no setup weekend.
