Use Closr from Claude and other AI tools

~3 min read

If you already live in Claude Code, Cursor, or another AI tool, you do not have to switch tabs to use Closr. Closr speaks MCP, the open standard those tools use to reach outside apps. Connect once and you can say "add Doug Park, he wants to sell his condo at 55 Ontario" in the tool you are already in. The contact lands in Closr, attributed to you, through the same path the in-app chat uses.

Connect in under a minute

  1. 1In claude.ai, Claude Desktop, or Cursor, add a custom connector with the URL https://getclosr.app/api/mcp.
  2. 2Click 'Sign in with Closr' and approve the request. No key to copy or paste.
  3. 3Ask your tool something Closr knows: 'who are my stale leads?' or 'what is due this week?'

Prefer a key?

Claude Code, Cursor, and the Claude Desktop extension can still use a personal key instead of signing in. Go to Settings, then Integrations, then the card 'Use Closr from Claude and other AI tools', and click 'Create my key'. Copy it now — Closr stores only a hash and cannot show it again. The card has a one-line command for Claude Code, a snippet for Cursor's mcp.json, and a download for the Claude Desktop extension.

What works today

  • •Look things up. Contacts, leads, deals, projects, showings, calendar, campaigns, inbox threads, analytics, today's brief, guides.
  • •Add and update. Contacts, notes, tags, lead stage and value, projects and their facts, deal dates and financials, calendar events, agent goals.
  • •Run numbers. CMAs and comps, net sheets, closing-cost estimates, rent-vs-buy, building comparisons.
  • •Report a bug. 'Log feedback: the dialer dropped my call' reaches Ara the same way it does from chat.

Actions that ask first

Sending email, SMS, or WhatsApp, activating or enrolling a campaign, sending a portal invite, publishing a listing, deleting contacts, merging contacts, and a few other sensitive actions run in two steps instead of one. The first call shows a preview and nothing happens yet. Tell your AI tool to go ahead, and it calls the same action again with a confirmation token that expires in five minutes. Nothing sends, activates, publishes, or deletes without that second, explicit step. Signing drafts and a handful of admin-only actions still stay in Closr for now.

Which tools connect

  • •claude.ai on the web and mobile: yes, today, through sign-in. Add the connector, sign in with your Closr account, and approve.
  • •Claude Desktop, Cursor: yes, both ways — sign in through the connector, or use the Closr extension / a key.
  • •Claude Code, ChatGPT developer mode: yes, today, with a key sent as a header.

It acts as you

Whether you sign in or use a key, the connection is personal. Everything done through it shows in Closr as done by you, with the same team permissions you have in the app. If you leave the team it stops working on its own. Revoke a connected app or a key any time from Settings, Integrations, 'Connected apps'. Treat a key like a password.

Rate limit is 120 calls a minute per key. A normal conversation never gets close. If your tool loops, Closr answers 'rate limited' rather than running the loop.
