Your agent website

Your agent website

~6 min read

Every Closr account comes with a public agent website. You pick a template, add your bio and a few numbers that build trust, and hit publish. Your published listings show up on it automatically. The base site is free and lives at a Closr address like `yourname.my-closr.site`. If you want your own domain, that's the Pro Website add-on, covered at the end.

You manage the whole thing from one place: **Settings → Website**. There's no separate app section for it — it's a settings page. Go to `/app/settings/website` to open the editor.

Building your site

  1. 1Open **Settings → Website** (`/app/settings/website`).
  2. 2Pick a template: **Classic**, **Bold**, or **Minimal**. This sets the overall look. You can switch templates any time without losing your content.
  3. 3Set your accent color. One color runs through the whole site — buttons, links, highlights.
  4. 4Write your headline and subheadline (the big text at the top), then your bio.
  5. 5Fill in the credibility strip: years of experience, homes sold, sales volume, and up to six awards. These are optional, but they're what visitors scan first.

Want to see it before it's live? Use the **Preview** button on the Website settings page. Preview shows your draft the way visitors will see it, on your `my-closr.site` address, but only you can open it until you publish.

Publishing

Before Closr will publish your site, it needs your **brokerage name** and **license number**. This isn't optional — real-estate advertising rules require both on a public agent page, so publish is blocked until they're filled in. You set them in your profile under Settings. Once they're there, publish works.

  1. 1Make sure your brokerage name and license number are set in **Settings**.
  2. 2On the Website settings page, click **Publish**.
  3. 3Your site goes live at `yourname.my-closr.site`. Share that link, or add it to your email signature and social profiles.
  4. 4Changed your mind? **Unpublish** takes it offline again. Your content stays saved.

Adding a blog

Your site can carry a blog at `/blog` — market updates, neighbourhood guides, whatever keeps you findable. Manage posts under **Settings → Website → Posts**. Each post has a title, body, and an optional hero image. Save it as a draft, then publish when it's ready. Posts publish and unpublish independently of the site itself.

Pro Website: your own domain and an MLS feed

The free site runs on a `my-closr.site` address. **Pro Website** is a paid add-on that unlocks two things: a **custom domain** (your own `yourname.com`) and a live **MLS listing feed** so active listings from your board show on your site, not just your own. It's $97 CAD to set up plus $37/month, billed separately from your Closr plan.

  1. 1On the Website settings page, click **Upgrade to Pro Website**. That opens Stripe checkout in a new step.
  2. 2After you subscribe, the **custom domain** field unlocks. Enter your domain and Closr gives you the DNS records to add at your registrar.
  3. 3Add those records where you bought the domain. Closr checks them and flips the domain to **Verified** once they resolve. Until then it shows **Pending DNS**.
  4. 4If you ever disconnect the domain, your site falls back to its `my-closr.site` address — it never goes dark.

Or skip the page and just ask

The site controls work from chat too. Try: "publish my website", "switch my site to the Bold template", "update my website bio", "how's my website doing?", or "draft a blog post about the spring market". If you ask to publish before your brokerage and license are set, Closr will tell you what's missing instead of publishing a non-compliant page.

Your site is only as current as your listings and stats. When you close a deal, update your homes-sold and volume numbers on the Website page so the credibility strip stays honest.
