Importing from Lofty (FKA Chime)
~2 min read
Lofty (formerly Chime) imports through a CSV export. There is no direct API connector for Lofty today, so plan to export a file. The import itself takes about five minutes.
Steps
- 1In Lofty, export your contacts to a CSV. The export usually lives under the contacts or people list.
- 2In Closr, drag the CSV into chat (or use the paperclip).
- 3Closr reads the headers and maps the ones it recognizes. The preview shows the format as 'CSV'.
- 4Check the new-versus-duplicate counts and the column mapping, then click Import.
What comes over
The fields in the CSV: names, emails, phones, company, title, source, tags, notes, address, and stage where present. Email threads, call recordings, text history, and Lofty's smart plans or saved searches stay in Lofty. They are not in the export file.
Lofty exports can carry several email and phone columns per contact. Closr keeps up to three of each. If a contact has more, the extras show in the preview so you can see what mapped before you commit.
