Importing from IXACT
~2 min read
Say this to Closr in chat: "Bring my book over from IXACT." Then drop in your file. Closr has no IXACT connector, so it reads a CSV through the column-mapping engine.
Steps
- 1Export your contacts to CSV from IXACT. If you cannot find the export, ask IXACT support, or tap "Set it up for me" (/app/setup/request?source=ixact) and we will do it with you.
- 2In Closr, drag the CSV into chat (or use the paperclip).
- 3Closr reads the headers and maps the ones it recognizes. The preview shows the format as 'CSV'.
- 4Check the mapping, then click Import. Nothing is written until you confirm.
What comes over
The fields in the CSV: names, emails, phones, tags, notes, and address where present. Email and call history stay in IXACT.
If a column did not map, rename its header to something plain (Email, Phone, Notes) in your spreadsheet and re-drop the file. Stuck? Tap "Set it up for me" and we will do it with you.
